Trump Today: President goes to bat for ‘Trumpcare’ ahead of vote
MarketWatch - 3/21/2017 - Jeffry Bartash - President Donald Trump made a big push on Tuesday to get the House to pass a bill to replace Obamacare that’s still opposed by a sizable bloc of conservatives. The president strode to Capitol Hill to try to close the deal with House Republicans on a much-criticized replacement plan for Obamacare. In a closed-door meeting, he warned that Republicans could lose their seats in 2018 unless a bill is passed. In addition to being opposed by Democrats, influential conservative groups including Heritage Action and Club for Growth have called for the defeat of the legislation.
