SEC taking action against crypto-touting celebrities

Consumer Affairs - 12/3/2018 - Mark Huffman - On the heels of its action against Tesla CEO Elon Musk for alleged market manipulation, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is eyeing celebrities who are paid to promote cryptocurrencies. Late last week, the SEC settled charges against boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr., and music producer DJ Khaled.
