Scam alert for furloughed workers

Fox 5 DC - 1/22/2019 - Tom Fitzgerald - A new alert is out for federal workers in Virginia. Attorney General Mark Herring has issued a warning to furloughed federal government employees. He says financial scammers are targeting people who are low on cash, and about to miss another paycheck. It’s the kind of criminal activity you usually see when victims are preyed on after storms or natural disasters.
