Perseverance
"You just can't beat the person who never gives up". Babe Ruth
Many of the topics that we discuss here are focused on the support of those who never gave up. Since I have quoted Babe Ruth in this encouragement I will stay with a baseball theme. John Lindsey spent 16 years in baseballs minor league, or 1,571 games, before getting called up by the Los Angeles Dodgers in September 2010. Would you classify him as having an unsuccessful career? That would be an easy opinion if you didn't understand the game and the challenges that each player faces. The point here is that failure is not simply the lack of success it is the lack of perseverance to continue the journey that one has set forth on. Mr. Lindsey is a testament to the desire to pursue your dreams.
